AUDITIONS for new immersive project HEYDAYS

PRODUCTION DETAILS

The Brouhaha Theatre Project is currently casting HEYDAYS, an immersive experience for 16 audience members performed August 9-19 in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. The show follows a group of high school friends that gather to rewrite their coming-of-age.

SCHEDULE:

The show will rehearse from the beginning of June to late July. Tech, dress rehearsals, and test audiences August 1 - 5th. Performances August 9th - 19th (Thursday - Sunday at 7pm). Rehearsals will be concentrated on weekends and a few weekdays, based on availability.

PAY: $250 stipend

ROLES WE ARE CASTING

- 1  Roving Musician (Any Age) -  Must play a portable instrument and, ideally, can sing. Also comfortable performing text.
- 1 Dancer/ Actor (Age: 20 - 30) -  Comfortable dancing on varied terrain and architecture, in addition to performing text one-on-one with an audience member.
- 1 Dancer/ Actor: (Age: 20 - 30) - Comfortable dancing on varied terrain and architecture, in addition to performing text one-on-one with an audience member.

AUDITION DETAILS:

Auditions will be held on SUNDAY JUNE 3rd from 2:30-5:30pm at Alchemical Theatre Laboratory on W 14th St. 10 minute slots are available by EMAIL - please email brouhahatheatreproject@gmail.com with your time preference. Slots will be allotted on a first come, first serve basis. 

WHAT TO PREPARE: Please bring headshot and resume. Please prepare a short contemporary monologue and be prepared for improv and movement. If you would like to sing, please prepare a one minute selection, in the genre of your choosing. For Musicians, please prepare a short, memorized one minute song. 

Brouhaha creates devised works, and every company member will partake in the creation and content-generation process. Experience in immersive theater or with site-specific work a plus. Must be comfortable with intimate and one-on-one performance.
