Activate Equity 2019

Activate Equity: artists, administrators, activists & educators come together. Saturday, Feb 2, 2019 at El Barrio's Artspace Rebecca Centeno (still from The Field Activate Equity '18 video)

Activate Equity brings together artists, activists, administrators, and educators who seek to disrupt the racial and social inequities in the arts & culture sector through creative solutions. The Field organizes this annual symposium in order to connect and to amplify those who are doing the work.

Don't miss keynote speaker Lisa Dent (director of cultural production at Powerhouse Workshop), plus interactive workshops with "artivists" Kiyan Williams (Securing the Bag: Economic Justice and Equitable Pay in the Art World), Mana Hashimoto (Dance Without Sight), Andre Dimapilis (Kapwa Kouncil: decolonizing the plenary session), and other special guests scheduled for Activate Equity 2019.

Free/sliding scale registration includes access to the full day of activities, including lunch.
