Class Description: This class will offer an introduction to the study of the popular dance styles in Africa called Afrobeat. Highlights of this class will include warm-up where students will get initiated through various Afrobeat steps such as Rosalina, Akwaaba, Shaku Shaku, Vosho, Pilolo, Azonto and Gwara gwara; these are some of the moves that are consistently called upon to create new dances.
This will help students become better acquainted with rhythm and the different styles of the discipline leading them into smooth transition to more technical and complex moves to be learned throughout the class.
