Celebrated dancer and performer Dashaun Wesley will lead dancers of all levels and backgrounds through the history and basics of Vogue in this culturally rich and highly stylized workshop at Ailey Extension.  Attendees will learn angular, linear movement with gestures and dramatics, and will learn each element of Vogue technique through class demonstrations.  

Seen on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew, Rihanna Anti World Tour, Magic Mike XXL the movie and numerous television appearances, Wesley has wowed crowds with his outstanding Vogue dance style and charismatic personality. Born in Brooklyn, Wesley was introduced to the underground NYC Ballroom scene in his high school years where the dance phenomenon Vogue was created; from that initial introduction it captivated his attention and with many vogue dance battles and ballroom moments created, he is now considered a Ballroom VOGUING ICON and legendary MC/Commentator in the Underground Vogue Scene.  He's also an Active Ballroom participant and member and Father for the house of Exclusive Lanvin.  Wesley has worked with the likes of Rihanna, Naomi Campbell, Fergie, Teyana Taylor, Channing Tatum, N.E.R.D, Sam Smith and Camilla Cabello with more features and appearances in projects.
