An evening debuting a collection of interdisciplinary, original dance works that integrate urban, traditional and contemporary forms. A nexus of innovative physical conversations of human experiences, culture, identity and community empowerment. The evening will inspire dialogue, reflection, healing, hope, self love, social awareness, cultural diversity and a celebration of community greatness.
Fritzlyn Hector aka "Fritz" is an African-Haitian Brooklyn native seasoned with a professional multi dimensional artistic career of over 20 years. Fritz was simultaneously raised in a variety of cultural genres such as african, caribbean and hip hop cultures, contemporary dance, music and theater. Fritz credits her knowledge and artistic journey to the notable choreographers, master dancers and musicians from America, Haiti, western, central and southern Africa that embraced her as a student of living art.
Fritz travels worldwide performing and teaching her "Fritzation" style workshops. Fritz is also a 16 year ‘veteran' of the Broadway smash hit STOMP. As a Stomper, she also traveled extensively with both the national and international tours. Fritz trains and mentors new cast members in the New York production. Fritz's credits: PBS Free To Dance, Tonel Lakay, Forces of Nature Dance Theatre Company, Asase Yaa, Dance Africa, Anthony Hamilton, Harry Connick Jr., Meredith Vieira, N.Y. Knicks Drumline, Dance Monster(Japan), The Roots, Paul Simon, Jimmy Fallon,The Pulse, VH1 Hip Hop Honors and Julie Andrews.
