Each week of this Jazz Workshop will explore a different style of Jazz. Class will start with a technique-based warm-up, focusing on proper placement and strength, and then dancers will have the opportunity to learn choreography in one of the many jazz styles. Come ready to express yourself and be challenged in a supportive environment!

August 4th -Pop jazz: A sassy style based in jazz technique with some commercial hip hop elements.
August 11th -Lyrical jazz: An expressive ballet-based jazz technique designed to illustrate the lyrics of a song, combining both smooth and sharp dynamics.
August 18th -Theater jazz: A fun classic jazz style focusing in clean technique, expressiveness and story-telling.
August 25th -Contemporary jazz: This style combines elements from several dance disciplines, allowing dancers to experiment with musicality, individuality and creative interpretation.
