BEVERLY BLOSSOM, UNDERGROUND FAVORITE: EXTRAVAGANT DANCE

Beverly Blossom Beatriz Schiller

Tumble into Beverly Blossom’s quirky, tender and torrid dances that consume space, revel in persona and touch viewers.

We celebrate Beverly Blossom (1926-2014) with excerpts of signature works, in turn, vividly imaginative and layered with interest, such as Poem for the Theater No. 6 (1963), Dad’s Ties (1983), Besame Mucho (1987), The Incomplete Lament of an Old Dancer (1999). Includes archival film footage and a panel discussion with artists influenced by this compelling solo dance artist.
