A physically engaging movement series for all bodies and all levels. CPP contemporary class offers a series of classes in rhythm and groove currently researched by CPP for their newest work, Sistema. With an emphasis on weight and initiation in the pelvis and torso, professional and non-professional movers dialogue fused together with the influences of Afro-Latin rhythms, and contemporary forms. The class allows participants to engage in the movement research for the newest work. Researching rhythm, and momentum, with an emphasis on weight and initiation in the pelvis and torso. Class seeks to engage with all bodies, the movement is open to all professional and non-professional movers. Let’s engage in a movement dialogue together.

About the Artist: Megan Curet, Artistic Director and choreographer of NYC contemporary dance company, Curet Performance Project. And founder of online dance publication TiLLT Magazine. Curet’s work has been performed, taught and seen throughout the UK, EU, Armenia, Palestine, Israel, Cuba and the USA. Holding an MA in Dance studies from Roehampton University and trained at the Martha Graham School. Curet has served on the Franklin and Marshall College as well as Martha Graham School faculty.

Company Bio: Curet Performance Project is a contemporary Dance Company based in New York City, founded by Artistic Director and Megan Curet in 2012. The company seeks to create provocative and enticing dance works that engage with political issues, set within immersive and multidisciplinary environments for unique performance experiences.
