Beaux-Arts Court, 3rd Floor

Witness the New York premiere of Corbeaux (Crows), a new dance performance by Moroccan choreographer Bouchra Ouizguen, as part of the Crossing the Line Festival, a citywide arts festival that brings international artists and New York City audiences together in discovery and dialogue.

Corbeaux (Crows) is a hypnotic, site-specific living sculpture that interrupts and transforms public spaces. Dark silhouettes of women emerge from the shadows and silently fan out across the Beaux-Arts Court. Forming alchemical arrangements, they move again and again, erupting into an immersive chorus of piercing sounds and rhythmic cries, making all notions of time and space disappear.

Free with Museum admission and for Members.

Corbeaux (Crows) is presented by the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF)’s 2017 Crossing the Line Festival in partnership with Abrons Arts Center, Movement Research, and the Brooklyn Museum. Supported by the Hermès Foundation within the framework of the New Settings Program, FUSED, the French Institute in Paris, and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States.
