Anabella Lenzu Anabella Lenzu

DANCE COMPOSITION/CHOREOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
FOCUS: WORDS AND MOVEMENT RELATIONSHIP

Mondays, August 1, 8 & 15, 2022
11am-1pm, NYC Time

Faculty: Anabella Lenzu

As choreographers and creators, how do we deal with the relationship and overlapping layers so that dance, music, and the poetry of the lyrics intertwine to create dances both for the stage as well as for dance films?
This workshop will give you the tools to create your own original dances, exploring the elements of composition.
We will explore how words and movement (verbal and non-verbal communication) complement each other, facilitating kinesthetic empathy.
Participants will create and perform solo studies based on choreographic problems.
