Join us for our 18th annual Dance Educators Training Institute (DETI) in partnership with Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) and Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC). This event embodies wellness in education by focusing on educators' needs to care for themselves and their students. DETI 2024 will support wellbeing, broaden perspectives, and, of course, keep you moving.

Here's our schedule at a glance.

Day 1: Dance without Limits: Adaptive Hip Hop Experience, Choreographing a Class, Best Practices for Consent-Based Work in Dance
Day 2: Majorette in Classroom: Exploring the HBCU Experience or Contemporary Techniques, Best Practices for Consent-Based Work in Dance, B.R.E.A.D.* & Butter of Southern HipHop, Deescalating Inner Critics and Burnout: a Body-centered Approach
Day 3: Tap: Tap Foundations or Contemporary Techniques, Injury Prevention: Building a Healthy Dancer, We Love the Vibes, DETI REP Sharing Session (as a group)

Optional: Repertoire and Rehearsal Session at the end of each day

Join us in-person or virtually at the Center for the Arts Theater on the Community College of Baltimore County, Essex Campus.

Dance Educators, Administrators, Enthusiasts, and Anyone interested in movement are invited to join us!
