Immersive Technique Training

Advanced Summer Dance Intensive provides pre-professional immersive training in ballet and modern technique. Dancewave teaching artist Caroline Fermin (ballet) and Kate Weare Company dancer Thryn Saxon (modern) lead focused, intense daily technique classes. Dancers are guided to hone and improve their skills, build confidence, and develop stamina.

Kate Weare Company Repertory

Utilizing repertory material from a variety of Weare's works, students will explore the nature of powerful performing: clear yet nuanced phrasing, sensitivity to self and others, moment-to-moment decisions that shape meaning in a viewer's eye, and authenticity in interpretation - all hallmarks of Weare's work and the Katre Weare Company dancers. Repertory taught by Kate Weare Company member Thryn Saxon.

Performance Opportunity

Students have the opportunity to perform the work they learn during the week in a final open performance for friends and family at Gelsey Kirkland Arts Center.
