Dancewave's Advanced Summer Dance Intensive on Governors Island

Dance with Shen Wei Dance Arts and Stefanie Batten Bland at Dancewave's Advanced Summer Dance Intensive, featuring a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum for dancers wishing to learn repertory from the masters themselves! Classes will be held in beautiful dance studios on Governors Island that overlook the Hudson River!

FOR ADVANCED DANCERS 18-24 Years (Limited enrollment by audition only)

SCHEDULE:

Monday-Friday 10:00am-4:30pm

Friday Showcase 4:30-5:30pm

TUITION:

$655/1 Week Session, $945/2 Week Session

AUDITION DETAILS:

Auditions are required. All auditions will be held at Dancewave's 182 space at 182 4th Avenue Brooklyn NY 

AUDITION DATES: MAY 9, JUNE 6, JULY 11, 2015 | 2:00-4:00pm

About Shen Wei Dance Arts

An international dance company founded in 2000, Shen Wei Dance Arts has performed in 138 cities, in 30 countries, on five continents and has appeared at many prestigious festivals and venues around the world such as Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival. Artistic Director Shen Wei incorporates colors, design, and a great use of space into the company's theatrical dances.

 

About Stefanie Batten Bland

A 2015 Alvin Ailey Foundation New Directions Choreography Lab Fellow, choreographer Stefanie Batten Bland created her company, Company Stefanie Batten Bland, in 2008. Her dance works are created to investigate the human condition. Her company has performed live and though dance cinema in Europe, Asia, Africa and the United States.
