A rainbow of Hispanic culture and expression from Latin Boylesque to Social Activism monologues presented at a pillar of Hispanic Culture: Centro Español!

Why should you come to this show ? The director of Reaction Dance Company NYC and host of El Arte Del Fuego, Juliette Nieves-Becker sums it up: “Unlike other shows that focus solely on traditional cultural art forms, our event will highlight the full spectrum of Hispanic expression. I think it’s important to not only highlight traditional music from Colombia for instance, but also to see Latin dances to modern music like Reggaeton. In addition to incredible entertainment, we will showcase Latinx social issues like discrimination in the work place through acting monologues, and recognizing the LGBT community through Latin Boylesque, burlesque performed by a male dancer.” It will be a one-of-a-kind event that is not to be missed.

Reaction Dance Company and Unlimited Stages are back with their second annual Hispanic Heritage month variety show: El Arte Del Fuego! Last year, the duo hosted this event for the first time virtually during the pandemic, uniting 30 households from America to Latin America in a much needed celebration of Latinx Culture. This year they’re hosting their much anticipated show LIVE at Centro Español in Queens on Friday October 1st at 8pm. Tickets are $25 .

You’ll see seven acts performing dance, music, theater, and even Burlesque, while learning about each culture that the performers represent. Enjoy authentic Spanish food served as small bites alongside the performance including Tortilla Espanol, yellow rice, and Empanadillos. Some of our acts include Antonio Amor (Latin Boylesque dancer), Juliana Betancur (music), Diana Salah-Eldeen (acting), and Reaction Dance Company NYC. Come experience some of the amazing local Latinx talent!

All audience members must be vaccinated to enter Centro Español, as required by NYC law. Please bring your vaccination card, Excelsior pass, or have a picture on your phone for admittance.
