"Explorations"

Explorations by the Anubhava Dance Company - Contemporary Bharatanatyam Dance Theatre Sravani Royyuru

Explorations By Anubhava Dance Company

Ever wonder how we, as humans, are designed to experience the world around us? Our senses trigger distinct pathways in our brains evoking a wide range of emotional responses. Explorations dissect the neuroscience of human emotion. Our main piece dives deep into the psychology of fear in a theatrical foray traversing the complexities of human behavior. Join the Anubhava Dance Company, as we explore the way our bodies and minds perceive, comprehend, and react to the world around us.

Anubhava Dance Company - Anubhava, meaning the "experience," aims to capture and explore the myriad of unique emotions that encapsulate the human experience through Indian classical dance and music. Founded by Dr. Shriya Srinivasan and Joshua George, the company comprises a vibrant group of second-generation Indian-American, award-winning artists.

Anubhava's work has been commissioned and supported through funding from the MIT Media Lab, Harvard ArtLab, and MIT Sandbox Innovation Fund program, with original creations produced for various community organizations including SEWA International, the International Services Center, and the American India Foundation.
