First Friday Series at Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning

Split-Bill: eSKay Arts Collective and Allison Brzezinski

Get your feet on the floor! May First Friday showcases women choreographers’ new work!

The eSKay Arts Collective is a collaboration of artists who share resources to exploit their talents and support each other. Founded by Shannon Reynolds and Kelly Flansburg in 2016 they’ve already reached a high level of success performing around the U.S and other countries. Both Flansburg and Reynolds have extensive dance background and through eSKay, they bring awareness to and explore different topics via performance art.

Allison Brzezinski is a multi-faceted artist, a hyphenate choreographer, performer, photographer, and arts producer. She also founded and serves as the President of Nasty Women Unite Fest (NWUF), a multi-day arts festival, bringing together artists of various disciplines and backgrounds, to foster a home for intersectional feminism. Through video, dance, puppetry and more, Allison Brzezinski struggles to deconstruct a chronic illness’s progressive betrayal of her body.
