Graham 2

Graham 2 dancers Alyssa Cebulski and Ricardo Barrett in Plain of Prayer by Martha Graham Brigid Pierce

Graham 2 presents its 2017 New York season June 1–4, 2017 (Thursday to Saturday at 7pm, and Sunday at 3pm).

The program will feature a series of solos from modern pioneers, including Ted Shawn’s Serenata Morisca (1916), Ethel Winter’s En Dolor (1944), Stuart Hodes’ Flak (1951), and Pearl Lang’s Dream Voyages (1996), which was created in collaboration with Kevin Predmore.

The season also includes Martha Graham’s Prelude to Action (1936), two duets from Canticle for Innocent Comedians: Stars and Moon (1952), an excerpt of Secular Games (1962), and excerpts of Plain of Prayer (1968). A world premiere by up-and-coming choreographer Adam Barruch, set to music by Stephen Weinstock, completes the program.
