LUDUS is the underlying methodology of LEIMAY’s practice. It cultivates imagination and a heightened awareness of gravity, friction, and weight. It nourishes deep states of listening and explores potential connections between the body’s materiality, voice, thoughts; between spaces and materials; revealing domains of transformation and potentiality.

LUDUS // Fire 6:30 – 7:45 pm

LUDUS // Water 8:00 – 9:15 pm

About the Classes

LUDUS // Fire - An energetic, dynamic, and rhythmic movement dance class focused on developing strength, endurance, flexibility, stamina, and grounding. Great for those interested in working up a sweat! Based on LEIMAY's exploration of Body Weather's MB work.

LUDUS // Water - A meditative dance class that creates a body both flexible and serene. Cultivate fluidity and softness through the use of water-based imagination and imagery. Based on principles through LEIMAY's study of Noguchi Taiso.

LUDUS // Plastiline - A playful movement class which stimulates imagination to awaken creativity by delving into a multitude of shapes, textures, worlds, and experiences. Transform everyday items and experiences and immerse yourself in fantastic and surreal realms! A great introduction for anyone interested in exploring the transformative and image-based explorations of butoh.
