NY Forró Fest 2018

NY Forro Fest 2018 Eliano Braz

This Forró Dance Intensive offers 3 days of finely currated Forró dance classes with locally and internationally renouned dance instuctors as part of NY Forró Fest 2018!  NY Forró  Fest will bring together dancers for 4 days of Brazilian Forró dance classes (from beginner to advanced) and live music festival parties at night, where participants can socialize and dance with world renouned musicians.  Forró dance is the Brazilian hip-swiveling, dance floor filling, now globally popular dance originating in NE Brazil.  Don't be intimidated: Forró's accessibility is the main reason for it's exploding popularity.  With a good teacher, you'll pick up the basics in a matter of minutes.  As some Forrózeiros (Forró lovers) put it, "It's less competative than Salsa and less pedantic than Tango...It's actually one of the easier partner dances to master, which is why it's so addictive and increasingly popular."  Come to this landmark event, and be part of something sure to become a staple of the NYC Forró social dance scene.
