New York, NY, December 9, 2014 – Challenging the idea of a traditional “run,” white road Dance Media will perform Neon Brave, a new, full-length work to be presented once a week over the course of three weeks at the new Triskelion Arts, 106 Calyer Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

NEON BRAVE is a work fixed on courage and brightness of being, investigating both the consequences of libertine actions and the strength needed to move forward. Can you accept your history and its consequences, your restlessness and driving desire to be more than the sum of your parts? Can you become the most powerful core version of yourself- locate and electrify your own neon bravery? A quartet of fearless women investigates these questions in real time, allowing them to become alternately entangled and inter-reliant, empowered and individualized. The production was created in collaboration with sound designer Chad Raines, who composed the original score.

“This uncommon approach, one performance a week for three consecutive weeks, will allow the more technical aspects of my work to give way to the essential core matter,” said Marisa Gruneberg, Director of white road Dance Media. “With no rehearsals in between our performances, the program will have a unique opportunity to evolve,” she said. “We leave space for the unexpected. The idea of a performance being stripped down to only the essentials, allowing the erosion of the piece over the time period, will reveal the essence of the concept.”
