New York Theatre Ballet at Danspace Project

New York Theatre Ballet returns to Danspace Project in St. Mark's Church-in-the-Bowery for a fourth season with Legends & Visionaries, their classic series of revivals by esteemed choreographers and composers with a first look work at emerging choreographers.

The program of four works (three featuring live music) includes:

-a new ballet by American Ballet Theatre’s Gemma Bond, the 2017-2018 New York City Center Choreography Fellow and the recipient of a 2017 Princess Grace Choreography Fellowship   

-a new NYTB work by David Gordon brings his material from the 1990s in BEETHOVEN/1999, in keeping with his ongoing investigation of art and archive

-after 30 years, returning to the NYTB repertory, José Limón's pioneering La Malinche, staged by former Limón dancer Sarah Stackhouse

-and the return of Richard Alston's A Rugged Flourish, choreographed to Copland’s Piano Variations commisioned by NYTB in 2011

Advance tickets: $22 General / $15 Members. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $25 (cash or check only), pending availability.

This NYTB produced program is part of Danspace Project's Community ACCESS that provides subsidized off-season rental opportunities for Danspace Project community members.
