The Playground NYC allows dancers to experience various choreographic styles and ideas, engage with a new community of dancers, and gather resourceful information and inspiration from the array of choreographers involved. In turn, established choreographers are paid for their creative investigations, are given free space to explore new movement with professional dancers, and are provided with the opportunity to establish relationships with new dancers and fellow choreographers.

Class description:
Nicholas enjoys teaching to a wide array of styles, ages, levels, and cultures. He has taught for colleges, professional companies, and open workshops in Japan, Shanghai, Germany, Mexico, Paraguay, Brazil, Russia, and all around the US, most notably on faculty at Steps on Broadway in NYC. Focusing on musicality and the personification of sound, Nicholas’ class is known for a spirited and joyful approach to steps, aiming to dismantle the pursuit of perfection and embrace the humanity in dance.
