Pilobolus Summer Workshop Series - Adult Workshops Week 3: Vision & Revision
Pilobolus's founders were not trained dancers, but curious and interested movers. Pilobolus workshops and camps emphasize our founders' idea that anyone can dance, and create dance. Whether you take class regularly, haven't taken a dance class in 20 years, or have never danced a step, there is a place in a Pilobolus intensive for you. Pilobolus focuses on how people, working together, can create form and movement to breathtaking effect. In Pilobolus workshops and camps, we work with dancers and non-dancers alike to let go of preconceptions about dance and discover infinite forms of what is beautiful and possible.
Adult Workshops - Ages 17+
Experience the Pilobolus creative process during a five-day movement intensive at our home in Washington, CT. In these playful, group-driven, physical and fun workshops, Pilobolus teaching artists share the method that has guided the company for 40+ years. These workshopsare great for dancers as well as those with absolutely no dance experience. Participants will have time for dedicated play, to develop new tools to access creativity, improve one's ability to work effectively in groups, and think more efficiently on one’s feet. Each class will also attend one Pilobolus performance at The Joyce Theater in NYC, followed by a meet-and-greet with the dancers.
Week 3: Vision & Revision
Taught by an Associate Artistic Director, this week will dig deep into the choreographic process and not just create, but polish, edit and revise. *Previous Pilobolus Workshop participation required.
