Polar Vortex: Time Lapse goes Arctic

Friday, May 2 at 7pm - Performance + Discussion + Benefit Party

Advance Ticket Purchase Required - No Walk-ins Permitted

This spring Jody Sperling embarks on a voyage to the Arctic as choreographic research for her project "Ice Melt." She'll be accompanying a scientific team studying the relationship between the thinning Arctic sea ice and increased phytoplankton blooms.

Join us for two studio performances by Sperling and her company Time Lapse Dance anticipating her Arctic adventure. The program features an inside preview of a new solo Sperling will develop "in situ" on Arctic sea ice.

The Time Lapse Dance ensemble also performs "Turbulence," which stirs patterns of air disturbance into kinetic sculptural form and excerpts from "Time-Lapse Fantasy."

The performance will be followed by a discussion about climate science and the upcoming Arctic expedition. Friday evening's performance will be followed by a benefit reception.

TICKET NOTE: All ticket prices are minimums. Any amount paid above the minimum will be considered a tax-deductible contribution to Time Lapse Dance. Thank you!
