Polly Pocket: Expansion Pack

Dance and video artist Jillian Peña was awarded the Prix Jardin d'Europe Jury Award at the recent ImPulsTanz 2014 festival. With her latest work Polly Pocket: Expansion Pack, Peña takes inspiration from ballet, psychoanalysis, queer theory, and Marxism, in this epic dance drama about artful seduction, role changes, and exclusion.

The audience, cast as outsiders, catches a glimpse into the private world and relationship patterns of three friends, played by dancers Alexandra Albrecht,Andrew Champlin, and Kyli Kleven as they negotiate their relationships to themselves and each other, navigating desire, kinship, conflict, and compromise.
