Red Brass Dream

Energetic drawing of dancer and trumpet player none

Join DanceBoissiere for a night of big dance moves and delicious jazz tunes. Red Brass Dream is a 45-minute exploration of collective liberation.

Collective liberation means we need each other: To build the world we want, express ourselves, live embodied (and in control of our bodies), and stay free. We all deserve rest, play, and dignity free from exploitation. We are intimately and intricately connected to each other’s struggles and we have to build together.

More about us: DanceBoissiere is an ensemble of women-identifying dance artists. We actively center our stories, in all of their joy and complexities. We also disrupt the dance ecosystem to prioritize pay for dancers and choreographers. We want to create loud, expressive, and innovative dance works. Find out more about DanceBoissiere.

Red Brass Dream is made possible in part with funding from the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone Development Corporation and administered by LMCC, and with public funds from Creative Engagement, supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and administered by LMCC.
