Royal Ballet

Royal Ballet Johan Persson

The Joyce Theater Foundation is proud to present The Royal Ballet in its first New York appearance since 2004. The engagement opens with a gala performance of Frederick Ashton’s The Dream, featuring some of the choreographer’s “most quirkily beautiful choreography” (The Guardian, London). The work also appears on a program with Kenneth MacMillan’s Song of the Earth. The third program is a mixed bill devoted to Wayne McGregor’s Infra; Liam Scarlett’s The Age of Anxiety; and Divertissements, highlights from the company’s repertory that include the central pas de deux from Royal Ballet Artistic Associate Christopher Wheeldon’s Aeternum.
