Scaffold Room was commissioned by The Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, MN. Co-commissioning support has also been provided by Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography at Florida State University and the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC). The work was also developed through a residency at the Park Avenue Armory.
