Seeking Dynamic Intern

Dancers Responding to AIDS (DRA), a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is seeking a creative, engaged and dedicated individual to assist in implementation of all aspects of DRA as it relates to the success of Broadway Cares.

 

As a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, DRA supports more than 450 AIDS and family service organizations nationwide as well as the essential programs of The Actors Fund, including the HIV/AIDS Initiative and The Dancers Resource.  Through these organizations and programs, DRA and Broadway Cares help to ensure that those in need have access to lifesaving medication, health care, counseling, nutritious meals and emergency financial assistance.

 

Required skills:

Excellent typing skills
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Proficient in Word, Excel. Ability to learn Access
Interest in building and improving our social media via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Familiarity with dance/entertainment industry
Ability to efficiently multi task under pressure
Ability to assist with manual labor, i.e. moving boxes, banners
Ability to interact with various individuals and organizations in a professional manner
Ability to take direction and complete tasks in a timely manner
Sense of humor and the ability to laugh at a moment’s notice

 

Time period:

This role is 3 days per week (10 + hours/week).  This position will start ASAP and end early summer. A flexible schedule is preferred and some weekend event work may be required.

 

Note:  This is an unpaid internship (must be for school credit or experience purposes).  Perks include building your portfolio, work experience, free events and references.
