Open Call to Immigrant choreographers. Deadline May 18 (11:59 pm) .Good opportunity to show your work. Spanish Harlem Creative Movement Fest is a dance festival that celebrates the culture of immigrants in America, and their place in it, reflecting the diversity that immigrant cultures embody. It will feature six dance artists with hybrid choreographic practices, who hold the stories of lived cultural experiences of immigrants in America. Dance10 Project intends to provide opportunities for positive exposure and career advancement in dance making to underrepresented dance artists, especially Latinos, dance artists of color and LGBTQ members. The selected dance works must be relevant, innovative, and should explore hybrid choreographic practices (combining dance movements with other forms/styles, including physical-theater, mime, video or incorporating performative methods on stage) and it should be bet 15 to 25 minutes long.
