About the Artists:

Justin Rivera presents Foster a Tale, a piece that explores the way we experience and interpret memory. It displays a few of the extreme human conditions and asks the audience to connect (or not) based on their own history. Inspired by memoirs and personal diaries, the work asks viewers to reflect on their own experiences and what those experiences mean now.

Dance The Yard‘s Co-Artistic Directors, Jesse Keller and Alison Manning, premiere untitled, a work inspired by the stages of life, the multi-faceted and complicated reality of the human experience. Apparent, but without literal representation, the performers explore the self; womb, emergence, fear, persecution, love, community, identity, support. The viewer is brought on a journey through the strength of the soul and of community.

Quentin Burley’s new work investigates how three dancers can inhabit a thousand ideas. By becoming entirely new beings at every turn, this trio explores a cinematic way to sequence random events into an absurd adventure. This splattered collage ranges from the surreal to the utmost mundane – resulting in an awkward odyssey rich with dry humor and grand virtuosity.

Adrian Galvin of Sum Bones Co. presents Solar Well, a kinetic mythology of greatly varied amplitude. Two separate dance-organisms have been fused together into a symbiotic creature of uncommon dynamic range, contrast, power, and intimacy.
