Dancewave Teacher Training: Strategies for Developing Young Citizen Artists

An opportunity for dance & PE teachers, classroom teachers, aspiring educators

In this immersive training program, Strategies for Developing Young Citizen Artists, we will use Dancewave's Culture Model to gain tools for community building and supportive youth development. Participants in the training will:

-Practice restorative models of conflict resolution
-Create lesson plans aligned with the NYC Blueprint for the Arts
-Develop community building strategies in diverse educational settings
-Network with NYC educators and arts professionals
-Join the Dancewave Teaching Artist roster in consideration for future employment

TUESDAY, AUGUST 29
1-5PM | Dancewave Culture Model: Foundation Training
5-6:30PM | Networking Happy Hour (optional, cash bar)

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 30
9am-3pm | Community Building: Youth Leadership | Development & Mentoring

THURSDAY, AUGUST 31
9am-3pm | Arts and Education: Dance in Public Schools

REGISTRATION: Early Bird: $200 (before June 15); $275 after June 15
