SPARK Dance Forum hosts Summer Film Fest and Friends-raiser in Brooklyn

The Summer Film Fest/Friends-raiser  is hosted in cooperation with The Actors Fund Arts Center

SPARK Dance Forum begins the fall season with its Summer Film Fest and friends-raiser hosted by The Actors Fund Arts Center in Brooklyn, NY, on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 7:30 pm, doors open at 7:00pm. A curated evening of dance on film, presented by co-founders Kate Bishop and Martha Dobbs, will provide artists and audience a relaxed environment to engage in supportive feedback and networking. Immediately following, all will be invited into the space to comment, question and engage over snacks and refreshments. The Film Fest event will also serve as the 2017 fundraising initiative.   The Spring Film Fest is aimed at inviting movers, film-makers and film lovers into the same space to exchange and network in an informal and supportive environment.

The Actors Fund Arts Center has hosted four of the annual SPARK Dance Forum performances and has provided affordable performance and rehearsal space to countless artists including sister company, BOINK! Dance and Film.  Successful artist collaborations in previous SPARK forums and increasing popularity of dance on film sparked the desire to present annual film fests, specific to the presenting needs of film.

Specifics of the Spring Film Fest include:

Location: The Actors Fund Arts Center, 160 Schermerhorn Street, Brooklyn NY, 11201

Tickets will be available at the door: $10 entry

Doors open at 7pm and the showing will begin at 7:30pm.
