Swing and Social Dance Class

Jessica Lang Dance presents a Swing and Social Dance Class

Jessica Lang Dance presents a FREE Family Dance Experience: Fun Swing and Social Dance Class for families and people of all ages. Come learn from renowned dance instructor Margaret Batiuchok, founder of danceMB in Manhattan, president and founder of the NY Swing Dance Society, Swing Hall of Famer, and Harvest Moon Ball Champion.

After starting with movements for all ages, we will progress to simple patterns, partner dances, and circle dances. This class is fun for all ages, but geared towards adults. Younger children may enjoy the first part; and adults and children interested in dance will enjoy the whole class! Seniors are also welcome!

Margaret, a Queens native, has a BFA from California Institute of the Arts and a Masters in Dance from NYU and she will include a bit about the history and theory behind the movement.

Come meet your neighbors and enjoy dancing in the open air on the waterfront! No partner necessary!
