The Joffrey Concert Group is thrilled to announce, “In My Art” presenting at the Ailey Citigroup Theater on February 14 & 15 with the choreographers chosen for the prestigious Creative Movers Choreographic Initiative (CMCI). 

The Joffrey Concert Group, based in the heart of New York City, stands as a vital part of our institution here at the Joffrey Ballet School. Established in 1981 by Robert Joffrey, this pre-professional ensemble provides an exceptional platform for young artists selected from the Joffrey Ballet School’s year-round Trainee Program. Over the years, these talented dancers have had the unique opportunity to train and perform in both classical and contemporary works by celebrated choreographers, including Gerald Arpino, Robert Battle, George Balanchine, and more.

Under the dynamic leadership of Artistic Director Bradley Shelver, the Joffrey Concert Group is embarking on an exciting 45th anniversary, carrying forward its legacy of artistic brilliance. Reinvigorated in September 2022, the ensemble has become a launchpad for the next generation of extraordinary talent. Its former dancers have dazzled audiences worldwide, joining elite companies such as Miami City Ballet, Boston Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, the Forsythe Company, and the iconic Martha Graham Dance Company. For many of these rising stars, this is where their journey begins—don’t miss the chance to witness their incredible talent this February as they take the stage and shine!

This season’s CMCI world premiers include, Cloaked by Thang Dao and Dusk by TsaiHsi Hung. The program will also include works by Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer, Bradley Shelver, "OOF" and And The Things That Remain.
