The Lindy Hop Experience! Black History Month Special BYOB

Feb 1st: 2pm to 6:30pm  Black History with Harlem's Dance the Lindy Hop!

**NOTE: THIS IS A DONATION BASED EVENT - ADVANCE TICKETS NOT MANDATORY**

Harlemites whether Dancers, Enthusiasts and/or Historians: Join us and start your Black History month with a Blast! Bring a friend for an afternoon of Harlem Lindy Hop & Swing Dance community activities! The Columbia Swing Dance Club https://www.facebook.com/events/733601047132377/ and The Harlem Swing Dance Society welcome you to experience Harlem's Lindy Hop culture for Black History month.

First at 2pm learn about the history of Lindy Hop with classic film clips ... next at 3pm learn Harlem's famed dance of the Lindy Hop.... and then finally at 4pm experience the social dance scene! Enjoy with live Jazz music from the CU Big Band and also a special Lindy Hop performance by The Harvest Moon Hoppers. NO partner necessary!

Admission is donation-based; recommended at $10 for general public and $5 for students with current I.D at the door. Portions of the proceeds go to The Frankie Manning Foundation and The Harlem Swing Dance Society. Open to all ages, experienced and beginner dancers alike - so come join us on a fun filled afternoon!
