Pre Columbian Sunrise Ritual for the Creative Technology: The Sun Gate by Perúvian American Composer, Carlos Johns-Dávila
June 9, 2018 Brooklyn, New York- Aréte Venue and Gallery presents a reimagined ritual practiced by the Inca since 1412. The Sun Gate, celebrates the upcoming winter solstice through an interactive experience highlighting the capability of creative technology.
Performance includes light Installation and projection mapping by Vishaal Ravikumar, choreography and dance by Elisa Hernandez & Morgaine De Leonardis, set design by Sarah Celona, and music by composer Carlos Johns-Dávila.
EVENT TIME, LOCATION, AND TICKETING
The Sun Gate is open to the public and handicap accessible. The performance will begin on June 9th 2018 @7pm, Doors open at 6:30pm with a total runtime of about 90 minutes.
