The Underscore
THE UNDERSCORE WITH LUCY MAHLER AND FACILITATORS
SUN 2-6PM
Eden's Expressway
537 Broadway, 4th Fl
The Underscore is a dance improvisation structure developed by Nancy Stark Smith. Based in Contact Improvisation, it comprises a spectrum of states, from quiet, internal activity to high-energy, interactive dancing. Undirected; for research and play. Open to all familiar with CI. Deepen your practice with a "talk-through". Underscore NYC offers “talk-throughs” to introduce Underscore's 50+ glyphs and concepts. Important Note: Stay from start to finish.
2:00 - 3:00 • Talk-through/introduction to the underscore glyphs, and a different CI skill each month.
3:00 - 5:45 • The Underscore begins promptly with the gathering circle, and ends with the harvest circle.
