VISIONS Contemporary Ballet in performance at Dixon Place, NYC, September 2018 Photo by Andrew Williams

In VISIONS Contemporary Ballet: Healing Works II, this ethnically diverse company led by Ranardo-Domeico Grays, artistic director/choreographer, relays universal messages of the human experience. A four-year brain cancer survivor, Ranardo is creatively flourishing, presenting spiritually uplifting contemporary ballets. The company will be performing his newly completed piece, "Dash – Between," about living life in the dash between "born" and "died;" “Through the Valley,” which explores facing obstacles in one’s fight for health and life; and “Roots,” rooted in prayer, about self-growth. “Beautiful Madness,” based on three poems written by Ranardo, reveals three sides of one person, and will be performed by Special Guest Artist Rebekah J. Kennedy, founding company member. Company Dancers performing this evening will be Alexandria Amstutz, Laura Dearman, Alden Henderson, Allegra Kirksey-Curtis, and Denzel Taylor.
