The Van Lier Emerging Artist of Color Fellowship Artist-in-Residence (AIR) program provides year-long creative research support, rehearsal space, mentorship, performance and related opportunities designed to support the individualized creative process of dance and movement-based artists.

Two (2) Artists will be selected to participate in the 2018 Van Lier Emerging Artist of Color Fellowship program via this application process. Applications will be reviewed and selected by a panel of three artists. This fellowship program is supported through the New York Community Trust through the Edward and Sally Van Lier Fund.

Criteria: 
Artists must apply as individuals. 
Group or collaborative applications are not accepted. 
Applicants must be residents of New York City. Resident means that your permanent mailing address is in New York City/one of the 5 Boroughs.
The Van Lier Fellowship program supports the professional development of young artists who identify as African, Latino, Asian, Arab and/or Native American.
Artists must be between the ages of 22-30.
Artists must NOT be currently enrolled full-time in a school or University program.
