Voiced Bodies

This is a workshop for actors, dancers, singers, creatives, and anyone who is interested in enriching their creative and/or personal practice by working with the body and voice.

The workshop will focus on giving gentle guidance and tools to help access ways in which the body and voice can be used to create a greater sense of spaciousness, awareness, and wholeness within, opening up pathways that allow creativity to flow more easily.

The workshop comprises a movement session led by Canadian-based actor/dancer Marjolayne Auger followed by a voice session facilitated by Scotland-based actor/singer Mariae Smiarowska. 

Marjolayne and Mariae met whilst training in the Indian martial art kalaripayattu with Studio Kalari in Wroclaw, Poland and in Kerala, India.

Participants will be given the opportunity to combine some of the elements from the work into a short etude and to share them with the group, if they wish.

The workshop will be led in English, with the possibility of French translation if needed.

Please wear comfortable, loose clothing you can easily move and breathe in, have water nearby, and a pen and paper for notes.
