Young Dancemakers Company
Mekea Hurwitz
Young Dancemakers Company concludes its season with a Finale Concert and Reception, marking 19 years of free performances in the NYC boroughs showing dancing and choreography of talented teens. Selected by auditions in NYC public high schools, the teens also learn a dance by a famous choreographer: this year they will perform an excerpt from Paul Taylor's "Esplanade," taught to them by former Taylor principal Richard Chen See. YDC directors are Bessie award-winner Alice Teirstein and music director William Catanzaro.
