Our commitment to those we serve remains unwavering and, to that end, we are pleased to announce the launch of ndiLIVE!, our platform of joyful and participatory FREE online classes.

NDI Dance! With Jennifer Aks-Neuman (All ages)

4 pm • Monday, April 27 on Facebook & Instagram
NDI Teaching Artist Jennifer Aks-Neuman brings the joy of dancing an NDI class to your Monday afternoon. Jen will lead a warm-up, teach original choreography, and share an NDI good-bye. The dancing will be accompanied by music from NDI musicians.

NDI Choreography Workshop: “When the Saints Go Marching In” (All ages)

“When the Saints Go Marching In” is a beloved dance from National Dance Institute and often performed by NDI’s Celebration Team. Choreographed by NDI Artistic Director Ellen Weinstein, this dance embraces the music and spirit of New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz. Join NDI Teaching Artist Mary Kennedy for the first class of our “Saints” choreography workshop series.

Warm-Up Wednesdays! (All ages)

NDI welcomes you to start your day with an energizing dance warm-up led by NDI Teaching Artist Abbie Hixson. NDI Musician Ly Bedaña accompanies on the piano, adding upbeat and uplifting music. Let’s stretch, breathe, and add some cardio to recharge in the middle of the week!

NDI Dance! “Leaping off the Canvas” with Tracy Straus (All ages)

NDI Artistic Associate Tracy Straus invites you to take “Leaping off the Canvas,” an NDI Dance class inspired by visual artists like Kandinsky and Pollack. With live music, this session is sure to enhance curiosity, imagination, and bring you joy.

NDI Arts Encounter with Emily Meisner (Pre-K – 2nd grade)

4 pm • Thursday, April 30 on Facebook & Instagram
Join Teaching Artist Emily Meisner for a movement exploration of creatures that live in and around rivers. Through dance, music, and stories you will soar like an eagle, creep like a crab, and wiggle like a water snake.

NDI Jam Session (All Ages)

4 pm • Friday, May 1 on Facebook & Instagram
NDI Teaching Artist and longtime STOMP member, Carlos Thomas, will lead us in a rhythmic workshop guaranteed to get your groove on! Carlos will show us how to transform household objects into rhythm instruments. Plus, as an extra special treat, Mr. Thomas will debut an original piece of music composed specifically for NDI!
