Dance Films @ The Flea

Proposals are now being accepted for the 2011 season of Dance Films @ The Flea, a new series to run in conjunction with Dance Conversations @ The Flea, a free performance and discussion series at The Flea Theater, now in its eighth year and curated by Nina Winthrop and Taimi Strehlow.

(Dance Conversations @ the Flea features works in progress by emerging, mid-career and established choreographers, followed by an open discussion between the artists and the audience, moderated by choreographer Nina Winthrop and special guests. Each day of the festival, four choreographers will have the opportunity to share 10-15 minutes of work in front of an audience of approximately 75. Dates for Dance Conversations @ The Flea: March 3 and March 13, 2011).

Dance Films @ The Flea is an exciting addition to the series and will showcase the wonderful, diverse and creative work of dance filmmakers.

The dates of Dance Films @ the Flea 2011 are:

Monday February 28, Tuesday March 1, Monday March 7 & Tuesday March 8 at 7 pm

Films should be 75 minutes or less. Short films are accepted.
