NYC Dance Community Launches It Gets Better Campaign

 
What do President Obama, Tim Gunn, Sarah Silverman, the employees of Facebook and the New York City dance community have in common? Now they have all filmed It Gets Better videos offering hope to LGBT youth.

Dance/NYC joins Skynova.TV, Edwards & Skybetter | Change Agency, Fractured Atlas, Gibney Dance Center, JenEd Productions, and Jordan Isadore to release this compilation alongside 22 individuals videos:

This latest contribution to the It Gets Better Campaign spotlights the dance community's unique culture of support for LGBT youth and growing political dynamism. It features a broad spectrum of community members-choreographers, dancers, dance writers, educators, and managers alike, including: Eva Yaa Asantewaa, Monica Bill Barnes and Anne Bass, Janis Brenner, Tim Cynova, Alberto Denis, Jennifer Edwards, David Harrison, Lane Harwell, Judi Huck, Jeffrey Kazin, Larry Keigwin, Marc Kirschner, Aaron Mattocks, Brian McCormick, Harold Norris, Emmanuel Obasuyi, David Parker, Stephen Petronio, Sydney Skybetter, Gus Solomons Jr, Ivan Sygoda, and Ian Archer-Watters.
