Volunteer Intern Opportunities at Dance/NYC

 
Dance/NYC seeks volunteer support of its services to the dance community: advocacy, audience engagement and professional development.

In particular, we seek:

Development Intern
Dance/NYC seeks support for its first annual individual giving campaign, effective immediately through January 2011. Primary responsibilities include: mailing direct and electronic solicitations and acknowledgements, tracking contributions with weekly updates, donor communications, and campaign evaluation. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, a vibrant personality and a passion for dance and dance service are requisite. On-site hours are flexible and should not exceed 10 hours per week. The organization has a longer-term need for support in researching grant opportunities, development planning and grant-writing.

Communication and Sales Intern

Dance/NYC seeks support in rolling out its new marketing service to the field, effective immediately through December 2010. Primary responsibilities include: coordinating staff and committee efforts, direct ad sales, tracking with weekly updates, “help desk” support, acknowledgements and campaign evaluation. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, a vibrant personality and a passion for dance and dance service are requisite. The position may be extended into the new year.

Social Media Intern

Dance/NYC seeks niche support to develop and maintain its presence in social media (Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc.). Volunteers can work off-site and flexible hours, 5-10 hours per week.
