Dance Witout Walls

 
Dance Without Walls is a summer youth intensive with a pluralistic approach to advanced study, performance,
and career development for youth who have serious interests in Dance. We use New York City’s landscape
as a palette for young dancers to redefine dance making, dance writing and performance.

This program is an exclusive program where8-10 selected students will be chosen to participate. Students will:

aView performances
aLearn Modern and experimental techniques, Improvisation and African-derived dances
aAttend live rehearsals with professional dance companies
aVisit farms where we will look at agriculture and dance aPhoto shoots on the beach
aZoo visits to observe movement from the animal kingdom
aDancin’ in the streets
aDiscourse/discuss dance, social change and ecological consciousness

The program is July 16th- August 17th, from 9:30am - 4:00pm Monday through Friday, with a culminating performance.
Total Program Costs ONLY $750


Also,Parentmeet and greetis Tuesday July 5, 2012 at 6pm at BAAD! (Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance) at this time you will be given a full packet of the program which will entail a daily schedule and contracts.
