TrioDance Collective- Internship Opportunity

 
Position Title: Administrative Intern
Reports to: Co-Artistic Directors

TrioDance Collective

Start Date: September 15, 2012

TrioDance Collective, a New York based Dance Company, is looking for two dedicated, artistically inclined interns to assist with administrative duties surrounding our sixth New York season. In 2010, TrioDance was founded out of a shared belief that community was of paramount importance to our art form and our development as artists, and in order to present substantial, fully realized new works in a communal and economic way.

TrioDance Collective was formed with a mission to:

CREATE innovative, rich, rigorous dance works.

SUPPORT and present the work of Artistic Directors Barbie Diewald and Emily Jeffries.

BUILD communities and develop the relationships between dancers, choreographers, the company's contemporaries, and diverse audiences.

TrioDance Collective is a New York City Dance Company withtwo artistic directors who share infrastructure, performance seasons, and a philosophy about producing dance.


Intern Qualifications:
-knowledge of and interest in Dance and the Arts
-excellent writing and communication skills
-independent, clear thinkers
-research-oriented, proactive, engaging personalities
-Punctuality is a must.

Responsibilities may include:
-researching grants and choreographic opportunities
-archiving press and video
-updating website
-developing marketing copy for press releases and online newsletters
-periodic attendance and assistance at rehearsals and company meetings
-maintaining calendars
-assisting with special events and performances

Schedules are flexible, with a preferred commitment of 6-8 hours per week. Our season runs Sept 15, 2012-January
