The Dance Department at The Danish National School of Performing Arts (Statens Scenekunstskole) is looking for a subject special

 
The position is 30 hours per week with a contract term of two years and the possibility of extension.

The department is headed by Jeremy Nelson. It is forward-thinking and dedicated to the idea of training accomplished, individual and self-motivated students. Within a dynamic environment, we value experimentation, creativity and curiosity as a way of reaching the highest artistic standard. There is a special emphasis on somatic approaches and deep body awareness as the basis for a training that includes new and contemporary dance, improvisation, ballet, composition, music, physical theatre, pedagogy and an exposure to dance forms from other cultures.
The subject specialist refers to the Head of The Dance Department, whose position is 50%, and with whom there will be a close working relationship. The subject specialist will be a key part of the department’s team of teachers which includes collaborations with the Choreography, Dance Partnership and Music Accompaniment for Dance educations.
