Chez Bushwick 24 Hour Choreographer's Project, mission: Site Specific

Friday is the deadline to apply for our 24 hour Choreographer's Project.

Chez Bushwick is introducing a new series of artistic challenges with a different creative mission per project.

The 24 Hour Choreographer’s Project premise is simple: within 24 working hours spread over the course of 2 days, selected choreographers will be provided dancers at random to create a new 10 minute finished work, followed by a third day of performances. The final day will feature free public performances and end in a cast celebration where peer feedback will be distributed. For our first project ‘Mission: Site-Specific,’ a pre-approved site in Bushwick, Brooklyn will be selected by the choreographers at random.

The project is geared toward creators interested in stretching their personal boundaries, and will allow participants to flex their creative muscles, think outside the box, build new relationships, and gain tools for future work.

Choreographers and Dancers are curated through an open application process, and final selections are chosen by a panel of industry professionals.A $30 participation fee is due upon project contract signing by selected artists.
